Publications

This volume describes the excavations at the Cater site and was prepared as part of a grant from the Rollin M. Gerstacker Foundation and the Midland Area Community Foundation in 2000.  Copies of this publication were distributed to area schools and libraries.

In 2002 the Michigan Historic Preservation Network awarded Chippewa Nature Center their Government/Institution Award in recognition of the Cater site project and this publication and our efforts to preserve CNC's archaeological resources.
