Barnes Site Paleoindian 2

This page contains photos of artifacts from the Paleoindian Barnes site not included on page 1.  There are photos of the bifaces, gravers, and scrapers below.

BIFACES

Bifaces and biface fragments (other than fluted points) from the Barnes site are illustrated in this section.  The artifacts numbered between 4366 and 4401 were surface collected by Mr. Wallace Hill.  The artifacts numbered between 5330 and 5344 were recovered during the 1974 excavations at the site.

GRAVERS

Two "gravers' were recovered from the Barnes site.  This is a type of artifact that is frequently found Paleoindian sites.
